Skamania County PUD in Carson, Washington, chooses Futura GIS to pioneer its mapping project.
When Skamania County Public Utility District #1 decided to establish an initial geodatabase of its entire electric system, they discovered a diverse group of vendors with offerings to choose from. Mapping a system for the first time can be a massive undertaking, but Skamania is ready for the challenge. After many presentations and weeks of research, the utility chose Futura’s GIS solutions. The ability to integrate the GIS and Staking with our CIS was also a key feature that will allow us to improve and streamline our work order system,” says Melanie Sharp, IT Manager at Skamania County PUD. “We are also excited that Asset Tracker will give us an easy webbased solution to track and report the details of our assets for the first time.”
