Since 1939, Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative (HOEC) has been committed to being a leader in delivering cost-efficient, reliable energy with value-added service. And the cooperative has succeeded in this mission, providing electricity at a rate that’s 13 percent lower than the average electric rates in the state of Missouri and lower than the average rates in all of the 50 states. HOEC’s success is due in part to a diversified mix of reliable generation sources – and a tech savvy workforce that seeks to keep operational costs low by employing the very latest in enterprise software. Towards that end, HOEC has recently purchased Futura Mapping, Asset Tracker and Futura Web Map Viewer to complement their Cyme engineering analysis and seamlessly integrate with their Daffron software and then in 2014 with their NISC software. They chose Futura because of its core-Esri platform and the ability to easily scale the software to meet all their business needs – from user friendly flexibility to developing their own web map in which they can directly link data. With the upgrade to the Futura products, HOEC is looking forward to the software’s robust database administration aspect and will be linking TWACS and pole inspection data directly into the Futura Mapping system. In addition, they plan to rely heavily on the software’s electric network analysis tools to help their drafter maintain a solidly connected network and easily add, retire, and correct their data so that they are ready to move into Electronic Staking and OMS in the future. We’re pleased to provide Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative with the tools to help them deliver reliable and efficient energy to more than 24,000 residents and businesses of south-central Missouri.
