Floresville Electric Light and Power System Chooses Futura
Floresville Electric Light and Power System Chooses Futura Systems, Inc.
Floresville Electric Light and Power System is putting itself on the map and partnering with Futura Systems for state-of-the-art GIS Mapping, Staking and Mobile software.
Floresville Electric Light and Power System (FELPS) sought more streamlined integration with SEDC’s industry-leading Billing, Accounting, Engineering and Operations programs than what was offered by previous providers. With Futura and SEDC’s seamless interface, FELPS will take their customer service to a whole new level.
“We have been working to upgrade our technology at FELPS and Futura fit well with our goals. Compatibility with the SEDC system was also a factor in our choice,” says Kyle Dicke, General Manager for Floresville Electric Light and Power System. FELPS wanted an Esri environment, and Futura, as an Esri Gold partner, was at the top of the list of vendors. Coupled with the up-front system verification tools offered by Futura products, the choice became obvious. System designers can post directly into Work Management and Mapping, reducing work time and errors created by double entry. Field operators appreciate the up-to-date electronic maps offered by mobile software and can plan workload to reduce windshield time and fuel costs. Both the SEDC and the Futura software packages allow FELPS to greatly improve efficiency from field to office operations, while also greatly refining the customer experience. Customers now have up-to-the-minute updates to activity on their FELPS accounts. The benefits achieved through Futura products will allow FELPS to offer its customers even better service while continuing its original goal in providing safe, reliable and low-cost electricity to aid in community prosperity.
