Coweta-Fayette EMC Chooses Futura
Coweta-Fayette EMC Chooses Futura GIS, Stake, Mobile and OMS
Coweta-Fayette EMC in Palmetto, GA, has chosen the Futura Geographic Information System (GIS), Futura Staking, Mobile Viewer and Futura Outage Management System (OMS).
Coweta-Fayette EMC has upgraded their Mapping, Staking and Outage Management (OMS) software from Trimble GIS to the Futura Systems full product suite. The Futura Systems software will now integrate real-time with their current SEDC CIS and Accounting System. “We were looking for solid integration coupled with a software that was on the leading edge of technology and a company that would support us for years to come,” said VP of Engineering Chris Stephens, PE, “Futura Software will enable us to create and maintain the detailed network model and network facilities data that we need for planning, operations and management.”
As an extension of the Esri software, the Futura suite contains powerful yet easy-to-use mapping, asset and data management tools. In addition to being able to model switching inside the mapping software, Coweta-Fayette EMC will be able to take advantage of the many other key features – like completely configurable skins, ribbons and toolbars. Additional features that will help increase efficiencies and facilitate time management include the ability to post staking jobs directly into FuturaGIS – without data translation or the need to redraw – and the ability to create unlimited, customized user profiles.
