The City of Lebanon serves as the county seat for Warren County, the second fastest growing county in Ohio. To meet the energy needs of a growing population and expanding industries, the City of Lebanon Electric Department realized they had to grow as well. They recently invested more than $8 million dollars to upgrade the City’s electrical infrastructure – and chose Futura to help them get the most from these improvements. The municipality is core-Esri, so they looked to FuturaGIS and Asset Tracker to provide the tools to help them organize and maintain data. Using FuturaGIS, the co-op is now able to maintain their geometric network, collect GIS data and ready their maps for distribution to field crews. With AssetTracker, employees can manage inventory independently or inside the GIS software – without a separate licensing fee – as well as organize and access data in one easy-to-use, browser-based database. The co-op plans to add FuturaStake and OMS to their software suite, further increasing operational efficiencies and enhancing customer service. Since 1895, the City of Lebanon Electric Department has provided effective electric service to the residences and businesses of their community. We’re proud to be a part of such rich history and look forward to supporting the continued growth of the region.
