Cape Hatteras EC Chooses Integration with Their CIS

Cape Hatteras EC Chooses Seamless Integration with Their CIS

At the core of the Cape Hatteras Electric Cooperative’s (CHEC) mission statement is improving the quality of life in the communities it serves. That not only means delivering safe, reliable and cost-effective electricity, but also providing its members with energy-saving opportunities and excellent customer service. To help meet these goals, CHEC recently switched from Trimble software to FuturaGIS, Stake and Mobile. For E&O Manager George Price the decision was an easy one. CHEC’s more than 8,000 meters use SEDC CIS – the same software used at Roanoke Electric when Price was E&O of that cooperative. Once he made the move to Cape Hatteras, Price wanted to put in a system he was familiar with and one he knew would work well with the SEDC technology. The result is seamless integration and enhanced customer service, with access to all the Esri tools in a single, easy-to-use geodatabase. We support the Cape Hatteras Electric Cooperative vision and are pleased to partner with SEDC to help CHEC field and office personnel keep the lights on in this coastal community while offering its members a variety of ways to save energy, save money and protect the environment.
